Patrick Beverley FINALLY Reacts to Being Traded to the Memphis Grizzlies
The Los Angeles Clippers were a laughingstock in the NBA due to their history of failing to win. Clippers fans have had to endure just sixteen seasons with a winning percentage of .500 or better. One of the heartbeats of the team’s ferocious identity was Patrick Beverley, who became a nuisance to opposing guards around the league. Now that the Clippers have traded Beverley, he has finally spoken out about the uncanny deal.
Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies Trade
On August 15th, Adrian Wojnarowski, aka “Woj,” dropped another NBA bomb on all Twitter. However, this news unveiling came as a surprise to the basketball world because, well… the trade didn’t make sense to most fans of the sport.

“The Los Angeles Clippers are trading Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo and Daniel Oturu to the Memphis Grizzlies for guard Eric Bledsoe, sources tell ESPN,” tweeted Wojnarowski.
The deal helped Memphis get salary cap flexibility in the summer of 2022 with the trade. However, Clipper fans had mixed emotions about the value.
Many fans of the team were disheartened to see a veteran presence in Rajon Rondo leave the roster. Especially with his ability to be a floor general and mentor to younger guards. Fans also expressed how losing two defensive-minded point guards could hurt their plans in winning a championship.
On the other hand, some of Clipper’s nation was excited to get rid of two older guards at ages 33 (Beverley) and 35 (Rondo). Especially with the belief that Bledsoe could potentially be a good fit with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
