Reflecting on our picks last week, we were not as successful as our initial trial run. We went back to the drawing board, evaluated what in the charts were most relevant, and tried to replicate the exact circumstances with which the first picks were made. If there was ever a time to be superstitious- this card is the time. One major factor to consider when doing these is the transiting Mars, as that planet deals with the energy and drive of a person, how they use that energy as well as the ego.
With our current transiting Mars in Aries, it is affecting the fighters differently and heavily; some Powers Be tipping the energy scales in favor of certain fighters. Some of these picks break my heart, but I am only here to interpret the planet’s placements and energies; as we all know the Universe could care less who our favorite it is.
Let’s take a look at some of the planets in play, who might get the upper hand astrologically, and how some of this energy might manifest! We’ll take a look at the top 3 match-ups and give you the MMA Astrology picks for the rest of the main card without the big breakdowns.

DC is a Pisces through and through, we see that classic emotion and deep caring spirit come through in his interviews and his commentary. One of the aspects that will be in effect on fight night is the Transiting Venus square DC’s Natal Mercury; a calm will lay over him, and he will have peace while this Transit is in effect.
This implies a lot of joy, especially in the realm of family, and with his known retirement regardless of the results, I think this is an important energy to keep an eye on. The Transiting Moon will also be trine his Natal Mars, showing ego assertion and initiative. Do these imply he’ll have a strong showing and find peace having finally resolved the trilogy? My Pick: I would say the stars heavily favor Stipe in a decision win. I truly believe the planets and stars want DC to rest, and I think his peace will be in jeopardy if he is unable to leave his legacy as is. With a win, he will have the Jon Jones challenge loom near him, and with a loss, via decision he can accept and come to terms with there being only two people who could ever defeat him and not feeling the need to prove it wrong any longer.
Sean O’Malley vs Marlon Vera

The long-awaited Suga Show is back and since its debut has yet to disappoint us. He likes to tease and prod his competition and honestly as soon as I saw that Scorpio Sun placement so much of his personality just clicked for me.
Love him or hate him he is a force to be reckoned with, and with a Leo Rising giving him an affinity for being dramatic, assertive, and having a desire to be the center of attention constantly, we are not likely to see him going anywhere. As much as I hate to say it but this hype train is here to stay, the Transiting Mars is in his 10th house, and from July to February while this Transit is casting an effect we are likely to see a lot of career advancement for the Suga Show and greater responsibilities and commitments will make themselves present to him.
Marlon Vera
Both on paper and astrologically Chito might be the toughest challenge for O’Malley to date. However, despite a strong disposition and ambitions of greatness that are present from a Sun in Sagittarius and compounded with his Ascendant in Virgo, it also leaves room for an inferiority complex and self-sabotage. His Chiron sits in Leo, which will be square the Transiting Sun bringing up some mental conflicts particularly with the ego, but bringing forth an otherworldly talent. The Transiting Mars will be in his Eighth House, making way for a time of significant change, but a warning of becoming too self-indulgent.
My Pick: I would say that the planets lean towards O’Malley, with Chito putting up a strong fight. Perhaps a fight of the night.
Junior Dos Santos vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik

With Dos Santos, I don’t know if rebellious is what comes to mind when I think of him, (unless we’re talking about that mustache…) but when I looked at his chart and saw his Aquarius Sun followed by 3 Capricorn placements a picture began to form of how rebellion can sometimes take the form of pure unadulterated determination.
The former champ’s rebellion does not lie in the normal forms, but that of rebellion against standards and expectations. Will he be able to defy the odds and beat Rozenstruik? Honestly keeping in mind that Dos Santos is currently coming off two losses and the Transiting Moon will be opposing his Natal Mercury revealing painful communication and a tendency to avoid it- I don’t know if it’s in his cards. That painful conversation he needs to have might be revolving around retirement, and his avoidance of that conversation falls in place with his interviews and how he has expressed that he’s not out of the running for the title yet. This fight makes it or break it time for Dos Santos in terms of him continuing with the organization.
Jairzinho Rozenstruik
On the opposite end of the spectrum we have Rozenstruik who has a lot of Pisces placements followed by Taurus and Capricorn, much of the same persistence and determination that pushes Dos Santos is also in effect here, with a big difference being in a Capricorn Mars for Rozenstruik as opposed to Dos Santos’s Scorpio Mars- where Dos Santos might experience a lot of emotion, resentment, a need for vindication and redemption, Rozenstruik will experience determination, evaluation, and evolution. With the Transiting Mars in his Fifth House giving him BDE energy, boosting his self-confidence, his aggression and ability to direct it towards whomever he wants are at an all-time high.
My Pick: I believe the planets favor Rozenstruik. But this may be a dog fight and I think there is just as high of a possibility of Dos Santos to come out on top in a decision win.

What Are The Astrology Odds?
The last time I checked DC and Stipe were still both -110 but we all know that’s gonna change on fight day. Suga Sean is a heavy favorite and as of 9:21 pm, Rozenstruik was a favorite but only slightly.
Last week the Astrology stars favored almost all underdogs and we were disappointed, but where the stars promised a great battle we got a great battle. I’m placing a 5-way parlay on all the picks again because if you aren’t confident in your own picks why dispense your picks, to begin with, amirite? I think the most heavily favored in terms of astrology are Stipe and O’Malley, with Rozenstruik not far behind with the amount of energy pushing him forward.
